As a daughter, sister, partner, physician and friend to all people and animals, Dr. Emily J. Knobloch lived a life full of love, courage and achievement. Honoring the legacy of her father, Carl W. Knobloch, Jr., Dr. Knobloch sought to further the protection of the natural environment through a generous bequest that established the EJK Foundation.

 

The foundation makes grants to advance landscape-scale conservation initiatives across North America that feature strong ecological values as well as sound plans for permanent protection and long-term stewardship. The foundation seeks out projects with clear momentum that incorporate innovative approaches, which have the potential to serve as a model for future conservation efforts.
